The collection contains letters to Robert Thruston Hubard from his farm manager George Jones and from the firm of Harris and Gibson, Richmond, Va. E.T.H. Warren correspondence includes letters to his wife Jenner Warran about Confederate camp life, to his overseer, & to C.S. Thompson on business matters. Letters of George B. Hunter to Tiff discuss a medical law case and the problems of conscription, draft dodging, and desertion in the Confederate army. There is also a soldier's poem by W.S. Bowers, and a draft of a speech on the Confederate soldier by Warren.
